How To Make The Most of Your Candles
I was sitting here thinking, how to make the most of my candles, when I came across an idea. Now, you know I adore making candles and learned the craft of making candles back in 2017 when I started Veise Beauty. Beer Candles, Wine Candles, then the now family famous around the world Veise Beauty Lotion Candles. We pride ourselves on striving to be the best, and in that regard, seriously looking after all the in's and out's of what to do, before, during, and after the lotion candle and candle making process.
Now, the tricky part. What the heck in tarnation do you do with the lotion once the wick is burned. This is the question I came across this Christmas Eve. My candles had burnt out and I did not want to waste the rest of the wax in the candle jar, as well as wanted to preserve the jar. There's so many ideas on how to reuse candle jars and I wasn't willing to just toss aside another candle jar for another day, I wanted to know.
So, while making my monthly supply of pasta, or though it feels, that's how much I eat. I decided to turn the burner on low, peel the sticker off the bottom of my glass candle. And let the wax melt like a wax melter. Now, there was no wick left in the candle and the candle was waxy all the way up the sides of the jar. The wick was burnt, but the metal bottom that holds the wick in place, was still there. Now, I could torch the whole thing, because that went through my mind. But, instead I let the wax slowly melt, and let the aromatic smells waft through the house and studio. But, one thing. What do I do with all the left over wax. Well,...
Here's the cool part. You can make your own wax melts with the leftover wax from your candles by simply purchasing the containers here.
The next step, or thing to try, would be to pour the melted wax from multiple candles into a jar, after placing a wick inside, and have a cupcake of a rainbow concoction. Which I thought about, but the wax melt seems like a better idea. In my eyes, because I like the idea of wickless aroma. Which brings me to my next endeavor?
